Gata

Gata is a small village located at the foot of the mountain Mosor.
25 kilometers east of the city of Split and 2 kilometers inland away from the Adriatic sea.
It is about 6 kilometers from the former pirate town of Omis.
The small village has about 60 inhabitants which is at an altitude of 300 meters.

History:
Gata is a historic part of the Rebublick Poljica, where until the end of the republic the prince was elected every year on the Day of the Hailed Georges.
